Welcome to the site about Ukrainian Antarctic Station
"Akademik Vernadsky"! The station appeared on the Antarctic map after a signing
of the memorandum between Great Britain and Ukraine about transferring of British station
Faraday to Ukraine on the 6th of February 1996.
Photos, videos and other things made by winterovers during their
wintering at the station are placed on the site. In the future we plan to place any
interesting things about ukrainians at the sixth continent and about the Antarctic or even
Arctic. Hope you’ll enjoy works of ukrainian polar explorers !
